Bethel Church’s experience with Dunamis Connections

A letter from Jake & Suz Lantz, Youth Leaders of Bethel Church (PA):

The Bethel Church youth leadership team began searching and praying about where they should take their youth for a mission trip. We desired a mission where we, as leaders, would be able to fully engage in doing ministry with our youth and not stay back to cook, clean, and do laundry all day. Also, the leadership did not want to handle the many details involved with a large group. Our desire — for youth and leadership alike — was to be stretched in every way, but especially spiritually.

We heard about Dunamis Connections from a friend who referred us to Henry Fisher. At our first meeting with Henry, we knew this was the ministry we wanted to work with. It didn’t take us long to see that Henry has a huge love for the people in Brazil. He spoke about the people and the country with so much love and passion.

Henry didn’t hesitate when we told him it would be as large as a group of forty people. He would lead the group and find a place in Brazil large enough to host all of us. Henry would take care of arranging the tickets, visas, lodging, and food.

Flavia, Rafaela, and all the people we worked with were amazing. We loved working with them. There were fifty-four people who signed up for the trip. Organizing a trip for such a large group takes a lot of planning. They took care of us every step of the way. They even had one of their team members, Dany, meet us at Dulles Airport to help us with checking in. From the time we left Lancaster until we arrived in Brazil — and then back home again — there was not one glitch in our trip. All glory to God.

Our youth enjoyed every minute of the trip. Our group participated in the children’s ministry, spent time with the youth, completed some work projects, and did lots of singing. We made so many new friends.

We, the Bethel Youth Group, want to thank you, Dunamis Connections, for organizing our trip. Thank you for stretching us and for giving us an unforgettable time in Brazil. It was a pleasure partnering with Dunamis in furthering the Kingdom of God.

This trip had a huge impact on our lives. We went to impact lives, and we came back impacted and changed. As opportunities arise in the future, we hope to work again with Dunamis Connections.
