Surveys show at least 70 percent of men and 21 percent of women struggle with online pornography. Escape the temptation by removing the secrecy of the Internet with Covenant Eyes Accountability software.
Once Covenant Eyes software is installed on a Windows computer, Mac computer, or Windows Mobile 6 Phone/PDA, it monitors and records all web activity and scores all sites according to maturity of content. This information is presented in a customizable Accountability Report that is emailed to the Accountability Partner(s) of your choice. Partners may choose how often they receive the report by email. Both Partners and Members (those who use Covenant Eyes software) may also review reports from our online Member Center. Because our reports provide scoring, Partners and Members can easily identify mature web addresses, searches, links, and more. The Accountability Report also shows trends for websites viewed and bar charts that show the times of day and night when the Internet was accessed. While other accountability programs are easily circumvented, Covenant Eyes is simply the strongest, most frequently updated accountability service available. Multiple username discounts are available for families and organizations. Each username will generate its own report even though the computer is shared with other Covenant Eyes users. Once you sign up for a sername, download our software to as many as five computers at no extra charge.

Internet Danger you should know about:

By the end of 2004, there were 420 million pages of pornography (LaRue, Jan. “Obscenity and the First Amendment.” Summit on Pornography. Rayburn House Office Building. Room 2322. May 19, 2005).

The largest group of viewers of Internet porn is children between ages 12 and 17 (Family Safe Media, December 15, 2005)
5 stages to addiction: Early exposure, addiction, escalation, desensitization, and acting out sexually. This addiction is a sin committed with the mind and then with the body by acting out. It can destroy individuals, children, families, marriages, and our testimony for Jesus Christ. (Focus on the Family – Visit www.troubledwith.com/AbuseandAddiction)

The Internet pornography industry generates $12 billion dollars in annual revenue – larger than the combined annual revenues of ABC, NBC, and CBS (Family Safe Media, January 10, 2006)

Some pornographers disguise their sites with common brand names and misspellings designed to entrap people.

Pornography in many forms is invading people’s homes and is available 24 hours a day. In a short period of time the Internet has become the most exploited instrument of perversion known to man.

51% of pastors say Internet pornography is a possible temptation. 37% say it is a current struggle. (Christianity Today, Leadership Survey, Dec 2001.) 4 in 10 pastors have visited a porn website.

Pornography is physically more addicting than cocaine and ‘imprints’ the mind with images. Overcoming pornography addiction takes years, and may affect you and everyone around you, the rest of your life.

Today's Christian Woman in 2003 found that one in six women (17%) including Christians, struggles with pornography addiction.

Previously, if you wanted pornographic material you could buy a magazine, video, or visit an establishment. All of these put you at risk of being found out. Now, with computers being used in private, unaccountable settings, people can view hardcore pornography right in their homes and offices. This can quickly escalate into an addiction with great harm brought to individuals, children, and families.

Prevention: Pornography addiction, and the destruction it causes, can be prevented by recognizing the danger, and taking immediate action. You never know when temptation will strike. Protect yourself, your family, and your marriage. Sign up to Covenant Eyes today! Visit: www.covenanteyes.com and be accountable in all of your Internet activity.

Commercial pornography sites:

74 percent display free teaser porn images on the homepage, often porn banner ads.

66 percent did not include a warning of adult content.

25 percent prevented users from exiting the site (mousetrapping).

Only 3 percent required adult verification. (Child-Proofing on the World Wide Web: A Survey of Adult Webservers, 2001, Jurimetrics. National Research Council Report, 2002).

According to the Florida Family Association, PornCrawler, their specialized software program, identified 20 U.S. companies that accounted for more than 70 percent of 297 million porn links on the Internet.

According to comScore Media Metrix, 71.9 million people visited adult sites in August 2005, reaching 42.7 percent of the Internet audience.
