Based in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Dunamis Connections works in developing nations with a vision for empowering individuals to reach their potential through connecting resources. Our founders, Henry and Diane Fisher, see people in third world countries, such as Brasil and Mexico, as a developing thrust of tremendous potential. The many challenges our friends in these difficult places face are there for them to overcome. Solutions and resources are available. They can do it. Their greatest need is powerful connections. That is what we at Dunamis Connections are all about.

What do we mean by a dunamis connection? We mean power. Power that will change people, change communities, change nations, change the world - and change you. That's what "dunamis" means – dynamic, living, explosive power. How does it happen? Through connections. Connections that bring together needs and resources, cultures and concepts, people and God. Such powerful connections generate possibilities, release potential, and result in realized dreams.

About the Founder
Henry Fisher, the founder of Dunamis Connections, was born in Lancaster County Pennsylvania to the family of an Amish minister. At the age of sixteen, Henry made a choice to strongly rebel against his religious upbringing and the Amish lifestyle. Two years later his father died very suddenly. Henry felt horrible and blamed himself for his father's unexpected death. He entered a time of serious soul searching. Henry needed truth that would free him from the blame and guilt he felt.

During this time of introspection, someone invited Henry to a church where he heard the Gospel presented in a way that he had never heard it before. Unlike what he was raised to believe, he discovered that a person can know the certainty of one's salvation and live a life pleasing to God without all of the rules and ordinances he was taught he must obey to enter heaven. Henry accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. At the age of 19, he made a serious commitment to live for Christ and minister God's Word through out the world.

Henry's commitment came with serious results within his family. His rebellion had been one thing. His choice of a much different faith was seen as a complete abandonment of all his family knew and believed. Some of his relatives chose to ostracize him. However, Henry knew that he had experienced a personal encounter with Jesus Christ and that nothing could replace the power and importance of this wonderful relationship. Henry laid aside his family, friends, and earthly inheritance to follow Jesus.

Two years later Henry met and married Diane. They have been together for 31 years and have one daughter, Alyssa. Alyssa's arrival in their lives was a medical miracle that they had waited nine years to experience. Henry's family means a great deal to him and they minister together with hearts full of compassion and energy wherever God sends them.

Henry Fisher comes to you with a history of rich experiences both in the business world and in ministry. He knows what its like to experience failure and disappointment. He also knows what it's like to have success and abundance... He knows how it feels to lose everything you have, including almost losing your mind. He also knows what God's complete restoration looks and feels like.

Henry and Diane Fisher believe in the power of vision and the importance of empowering and connecting people who embrace God's dreams. They believe in the impossible because they believe in God. They believe in people because God believes in people. Henry and Diane are out to change the developing nations one child, one church, one leader, and one city at a time. Dunamis means "power" and connections are what the Fishers are best at. It's a fitting calling for a family that knows the truth of powerful connections.
